what's happening and where to connect

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

Saturday, October 24 - Pray & Go - Because We are a Sent Church

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 24! We will meet at the church building at 10:45 a.m. for instructions, divide into teams, and disperse into the neighborhoods that border (or in the vicinity of) our church building. As we walk the neighborhoods, pausing at each house to pray a blessing upon the family that lives inside, we will leave a door hanger to let them know that we’ve prayed specifically for their household, that we’re available to talk with anyone who is struggling with life, and that there are numerous ways for them to check out our church.

This is not a door knocking event and we do not plan on any physical contact with anyone, except our team members. We just want to let them know that we care and in a non-intrusive way leave information to let them know we are here to help them and we welcome opportunities to get to know them. For more information or if you would like to be a point person for a team, contact Matt Carver at matt.c@burnthickory.org.
