How to Join Burnt Hickory
When we speak of “placing membership,” that simply means that as a baptized disciple of Christ, you are choosing to make Burnt Hickory your church home and be involved in its work. Ideally, that means that you will attend worship, be part of one of our small groups, discipleship groups, and be involved in one of our ministries.
The first step is to attend Starting Point. This quarterly information session is hosted by our lead minister, and is where you can get your questions answered. There is no obligation if you come, but we will explain our mission and vision and the process for placing membership. To find out the date of the next Starting Point, call the church office at 678-354-2814.

BH Marietta 25th Anniversary Celebration
On Sunday, September 14, we will be celebrating 25 wonderful years of faith, fellowship, and growth together at Burnt Hickory Church of Christ. Join us for a special day of food, a family kickball game, and fellowship in Utley Park from 5-7 p.m. There will also be a church-wide art show for all ages in the church foyer. Red Cross Blood Drive

BH needs five volunteers on the 1st Sunday of each month to meet at 9 a.m. travel to A.I.M. to worship at 10 a.m., cook a meal, serve and clean-up after. Thursday Ladies’ Bible Study - Starts back TODAY, Thursday, September 11
in Rom 203 at 10:00 a.m. Follow Kristi McLelland through the land of Israel as we study snapshots from the Gospel of Luke to see where the stories of Jesus’ earthly ministry took place. Locations included in the virtual tour are Bethlehem, Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, Gethsemane, and the road to Emmaus. The study guide Luke in the Land is available from Amazon, Lifeway, and Christianbook. AIM Sunday Sign UP - Sunday, October 5
AIM items needed for collection are: Aluminum Pans, Forks, Spoons, Paper Plates, & Paper Towels. Place items in the collection bin outside of the Resource Room.
Fall Festival/Trunk-or-Treat - Sunday, October 26 - 4:00 - 6:00 PM
Our goal is to have 26 cars hosted by our members and guests! If you plan to buy anything to decorate, ask Beth Tidwell first. There is a chance she has something you can borrow.
*New This Year: There will also be a trophy for "Best Trunk", so bring your "A" game!
If you would like to enter the Chili or Cake Contest, include the type of chili or cake or the name of your entry. We will also need several volunteers. Sign up HERE if you can volunteer.
Our annual Candy Collection will begin on Sunday, September 14. We will only be collecting prepackaged candy (i.e., fun-size, miniature, and the like). Bins will be out in the Foyer.
Please note: We will NOT be collecting prizes, trinkets, pencils, stickers, etc., or candy that is not prepackaged for individual use.
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is open! Bright Beginnings serves 12 months (must be able to walk independently) to Pre-K and offer different monthly rates based on attendance. For the church to avoid high transaction fees when giving online or giving by text, we would appreciate it if you would consider using your bank account (your bank’s routing number and your account number). This option will be from your bank account instead of from a credit card or debit card.
You also have the option to set your contribution to automatically be made each week, biweekly or monthly, whatever you choose. Simply change your one-time gift to Recurring.
