We offer classes for children beginning at 6 weeks through 5th Grade. Nursery and Preschool classes are designed by age and our Elementary age classes are designed by grade level. Our Nursery and Preschool Children are learning how God made them, how he loves them and that Jesus is their friend, using the First Look Curriculum. In our elementary classes, Pre-K – 4th Grade, children are taken on a 3 year chronological journey through the entire Bible using our Sword Training Curriculum. Classes are taught in an interactive format using teaching styles to reach every style of learner. Our 5th Grade students become Bible Investigators through our Digging Deeper Curriculum. This curriculum is designed to help students find evidence that the Bible is the true inspired Word of God. Our Sunday Bible Classes are our primary environment for teaching Bible.

The Burnt Hickory leadership believes God expects us to make our church a safe place for children. In an effort to do our best to provide a safe environment, our children and youth leaders and volunteers are required to submit an application, go through a background check, and Child Safety Training.
In all of our ministries with children and youth, this congregation is committed to demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ so that each child may experience the blessings of Jesus: "but Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.'"
