Missions is basically a three step process. First, we interact with people outside God's Kingdom in a relevant way. Second, we use those opportunities to build meaningful relationships. Finally, we invite those we have built relationships with to be part of a discipleship group. All three steps are important, and if we skip any one of the three, we will miss the mark. It is a great time to be a part of Burnt Hickory and God has given us the resources and opportunities to reach many lost souls in both Cobb and Bartow county.

BH Missions: AIM

Atlanta Inner-City Ministry (AIM)

is an urban mission of Atlanta Christians. Burnt Hickory will be helping AIM with their Kids Camp 2022. On June 29, we will travel to AIM to teach about Superheroes In the Bible, where we will be teaching the story of Joseph (Gen 45: 4-8) whose superpower was Trusting God's Guidance. Then on June 30, we will host an activity/fun day at Burnt Hickory Church of Christ with outdoor games, snacks, and lunch. To volunteer, click here to sign up! Each day will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for all ages to get involved in programs that impact Atlanta city children. Honduras mission trip

Each year the Missions Ministry sponsors a short-term mission trip to Honduras partnering with Mission UpReach to develop Christian leaders. We are currently involved in medical missions with most participants providing non-medical support services, as well as construction brigades.

Due to Covid concerns, we are unable to travel to Honduras this year.

community christmas

Each year the Burnt Hickory family seeks to provide Christmas gifts to families of Cobb County military veterans and members or members' friends whose families are in need. We hope our gifts will bless these families and that they will know we love them as their God does.
