Missions is basically a three step process. First, we interact with people outside God's Kingdom in a relevant way. Second, we use those opportunities to build meaningful relationships. Finally, we invite those we have built relationships with to be part of a discipleship group. All three steps are important, and if we skip any one of the three, we will miss the mark. It is a great time to be a part of Burnt Hickory and God has given us the resources and opportunities to reach many lost souls in both Cobb and Bartow county.

Missions Meal Packing

Join us this Sunday, October 12, in the Teen Center following Bible Class as we package meals to be sent to families in impoverished/natural disaster/war-torn areas in the name of Jesus. We need about 100 people of any age, of a broad range of abilities, who can: scoop, bag, or weigh food, sit and operate a sealing machine, or lift up to 40-pound boxes of supplies. This year’s goal is to complete 15,120 meals. Lunch/sandwiches provided following Bible Class. Click here to sign up to bring a side or dessert, and let us know how many in your family can help!

community christmas

Each year the Burnt Hickory family seeks to provide Christmas gifts to children and families of Cobb County in need and to members or members' friends whose families are in need. We hope our gifts will bless these families and that they will know we love them as their God does.

Click here to go to the Community Christmas page to download the forms. Referral forms are due back by Sunday, November 2. Gift Tags will be available Sunday, November 9. Gifts are due back by Sunday, December 7.
